Living Sky — User Manual cover

The Philosophy behind Living Sky

Living Sky transforms the way you think about space in sound, turning reverb from a static effect into a living, responsive environment. Designed by MNTRA's creative product design team in collaboration with Outer Echo's cutting-edge spatial DSP specialists and Soundcore by GPU Audio's high-performance GPU processing platform, it channels technologies that are usually reserved for advanced spatial and game audio workflows.

Powered by breakthrough GPU acceleration, Living Sky can run hundreds of convolutions while using only a fraction of your CPU resources — performance that would have been impractical with traditional processing alone. This deep integration of spatial workflow design, proprietary signal processing and parallel computation opens a new dimension of mixing capabilities, where natural acoustic realism and precise creative control coexist effortlessly in any production context.

Living Sky lets you work inside a field of acoustic spaces rather than a single static room model. Each source in your mix can be placed, focused, and blended within a network of higher-order ambisonic environments that move and interact over time. Source and reverb lives by reacting to envelope followers or LFOs, allowing you to recreate real acoustic spaces, build imagined acoustic worlds or perform musically meaningful and uncharted ways. This gives you detailed spatial control and a sense of depth that feels natural and three-dimensional, whether you are working in stereo or fully immersive formats.

More than a reverb, Living Sky is an entirely new way to mix. It blends the artistry of game audio design with the precision of modern music production to deliver an acoustic summing ecosystem that feels alive. From stereo up to 36-channel formats, it draws from the same spatial foundation — one session, one unified sound field. The result is straightforward translation, breathtaking realism, and a sense that the space inside your mix is no longer simulated — it's awakened.

Welcome to the universe of a Living Sky!
