THE STORY
Every instrument starts with a place.
Five instruments from our recording projects and collaborations in Colombia, Vietnam, India, and Mexico. Acoustic performances, field recordings, and visceral sonic transformations — captured at ultrasonic resolutions and brought together into living instruments you can play.
We work with master musicians in demanding environments around the world, recording instruments and acoustic spaces with ultrasonic microphones and bespoke techniques. In Bogotá, modern brass and a 33-stop concert hall pipe organ were transformed into Oro. In Hanoi, Ca trù singers, traditional flutes, and monsoon rain became Ha Noi. In Chennai, ancient ragas and a custom 28-string cello were forged into Naada. In Barranquilla, percussion and modular synths were re-amped through towering Picó sound systems into El Jaguar. And in Mexico City, Ramiro Ramírez's ceremonial clay flutes and conch trumpets breathed life into Nagual.
Every instrument began where it lives — then transformed in our studio into dynamic, reactive instruments ready to perform and shape in real time inside our free MNDALA 2 engine.
