Technology
We rebuilt the physics. Then we went further.
Most filter plugins fake it. They analyze how a vintage circuit sounds at a moderate setting and build a generic digital model — fine in the sweet spot, but the moment you push the resonance or drive the input, the illusion shatters into harsh digital clipping, plastic aliasing, and dead zones. FLTRS is the debut of Anima Circuits: instead of approximating the final sound, we modeled the actual physical properties of every resistor, capacitor, and transistor. The virtual components interact exactly like physical metal, voltage, and heat.
That's what gives each circuit its character. Resonance sings into self-oscillation without harsh digital artifacts. Drive warms and saturates instead of breaking apart. Filter modes morph continuously without a click or dropout — push it to the limit and it screams and sings without a hint of digital harshness.

The one we chose is EUROPA-6 — our take on the Roland Jupiter-6 filter. Not modeled. Reconstructed. Most filter plugins model the sound of a circuit; EUROPA-6 models the circuit itself — OTA gain stages, SVF topology, component tolerances, and the subtle nonlinearities that make a Jupiter-6 feel alive rather than just filtered.
We also pushed it past the hardware: negative resonance, parallel band-split path, stereo detune, and vintage aging drift. The Jupiter-6 filter has a quality where the resonance snarls but never loses control — bold sweeps that stay usable no matter how hard you push them.
